In what started out as a close matchup, became an entirely new game in the second half, the Bucket Chasers outscoring the Goodfellas in the second half 51-18. The Bucket Chasers won going away, 86-50.

Both teams got off to a relatively slow start in the first quarter, The Goodfellas only put up 18 points to the Bucket Chasers’ 14. Though the second quarter saw some more action from the Bucket Chasers, it was the second half where the game really turned around for them.

The Bucket Chasers came back onto the court after the half with much more energy and momentum, playing smarter, tighter defense, working hard to ensure they were always there for rebounds, and capitalizing on fast breakaways. The team was able to snatch 54 rebounds throughout the entire game, as compared to the Goodfellas’ 39.

Kevin Figueiredo led the Bucket Chasers offensively with 30 points.

“We started fast-breaking more, and started playing better defense at the half,”Figueiredo said.
