The Brotherhood stays atop the power rankings for the fourth straight week after an absolute rout of One Time in week 4. With their star, Russ Payton, dropping a Legacy Leagues reocrd 60 points and the Air Ballers up next, The Brotherhood looks like they might camp out at the top for a little while longer. Getting last season’s MVP Michael Davis back in the near future won’t hurt either. |

The Temptations had yet another week where they outscored their opposition by more than 30 points, and they climbed up to the 2-spot because of it. Carmine Santorelli continues to operate like a man possessed, and Erik Silva continues to have one of the best shooting percentage in the league. They might get comfortable at this spot in the rankings with the Kekambas up next.

Since their week one loss to the The Brotherhood, No Limit has not lost. Powered by their three-headed monster of Tarell Vargas, John Rullan, and Howie Miller, who have accounted for 80 percent of their scoring, No Limit is proving to be one of the best teams in the league. This team on the rise has a big test against the Cereal Killers up next.

Sportslook took a step back last week after they fell to the Goon Squad, and saw the league’s leading scorer, Bryan Acevedo, scoring only seven points. Seeing as they only had four players in that game, you should see this top contender try to get back on track next week against a still unbeaten Blood, Sweat and Beers squad.

This version of the Blood, Sweat, and Beers team have yet to lose, and are finally getting some well-deserved respect. A well balanced offensive attack, while limiting the Cereal Killers to bad shots and exposing them to tough defense, helped BS&B comeback and clinch the win in OT. A compelling face off against the team that eliminated them from the playoffs last season is up next.

Goon Squad took advantage of a four-man Sportslook team and pulled off the upset. They showed they are able to shut down a lethal scorer in Bryan Acevedo, and put pressure on the opposing defense with their size down low and potent shooting from the perimeter. Even after the big win, they still find themselves near the middle of these rankings, so continuing their stellar play is a must.

The Cereal Killers suffered the biggest fall after losses in consecutive weeks to Sportslook and BS&B in overtime. They still have a strong core of players with Tyrhon Coward, Will Hudson, and Mike Masciola all scoring in double-digits last week, but must find a way to get better looks and slow down the opposing team’s offense if they want to get back to the elite level we all know they can play at.

The addition of Chris Aaron has breathed new life into this team, and it was on full display in week 4 as he dropped 34 points in a win against Run TMC. The Kekambas have managed back-to-back wins and look to continue their ascent up the rankings. With Aaron McAlpine lighting it up from beyond the arc, and Davin Sirpenski roving the paint, they are a team to look out for.

Run TMC is on the cusp of becoming an efficient, high scoring team, yet they are still on the outside looking in when it comes to wins this season. With high scorer Shaq Holman, assist-man Matt Zocco, and big man Kevin Blake shooting around 70 percent, it’s only a matter of time until this team puts it together and finds a win. Their week 5 matchup against an also winless One Time might be their best chance at a win this season.

The Titans are one of four teams without a win, but seemed primed to push their way back up the standings. With the Echols brothers averaging double-digit points this season, and the rest of the squad getting into sync with each other, the Titans should find a victory soon. Well, maybe not that soon. They have a tough Goon Squad team up next.

Without Eric Rankin, One Time has not been the same and last week was proof. After a 143-64 loss to powerhouse The Brotherhood in week 4, One Time will look to get back on track against Run TMC in week 5. For any hope this season, high scorer Mike Cody and the Koripsky brothers will have to take control of games and shoot lights out.

The Air Ballers seem to be getting the feel for this league, but you wouldn’t know that after seeing the results each week. After being outscored 300-169 through the first four weeks, they are looking to turn over a new leaf. The Air Ballers will do so on the shoulders of Jaylon Smalls, who is averaging 19.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. |
