A new season means a fresh start for every team in the league, but the end goal remains the same. As the first chapter to a long physical season comes to a close, No Limit showed why every other team should be on the look out. No Limit cruised to an astounding 92-57 victory over Goon Squad where their main focus seemed to be stifling defense and easy transition baskets.
No Limit came out running from the tip outscoring Goon Squad in three of the four quarters. In the fourth quarter both teams scored an even twenty-five points each. Jalen Graham, former MVP, came out and put on a show leading the team in scoring with twenty-nine points and seven assists. No Limit’s barrage of buckets came from a variety of places on the floor. Graham’s tremendous efforts were backed by his teammates Howie Miller and Tarell Vargas. Vargas scored 20 points while Miller scored 25 with 21 of those points coming from beyond the arch.
In a game where defense proved to be the deciding factor, Rashawn Hendricks of No Limit was a ball hawk coming up with seven of his team’s thirteen steals, matching the total number of steals Goon Squad had for the entire game. Both teams rebounded the ball well as Goon Squad finished with a team total of 27 and No Limit with 29 total.
Goon Squad is hoping to bring that positive rebounding stat along with improvements as they prepare for Sportslook. No Limit is focused on the many positives to take away from this game as they try to keep the engine rolling as they go against Sometimes Y when action resumes in week two in The Legacy Leagues.
