Current Streak: Run TMC (W1), Tune Squad (L2), Silly Sehnders (L4)
Highest Power Rankings: Run TMC – 1, Tune Squad – 7, Silly Sehnders – 9
Standout Performers: Run TMC’s Reggie Stewart leads the league in PPG with 23.7, Tune Squad’s Jaden Battle is second in the league in PPG with 22.9, Silly Sehnders Brendan Bucher averages 15.1 PPG while shooting over 40 percent from the field.
After a hard-fought regular season, Run TMC finds themselves at the top of the league looking down with their confidence just as high. Run TMC has the team and the mindset to bring home the championship this Summer. Run TMC secured a first-round bye with their play in the regular season and will face off against the winner of the First Round matchup between Tune Squad and the Silly Sehnders.
Both Tune Squad and the Silly Sehnders played Run TMC early on in the season and will prove to be more of a test for Run TMC now in the postseason since both teams are in their inaugural season and have had time to learn their game.
Tune Squad is lead by Rookie of the Year candidate Jaden Battle. Battle is second in the league in points per game and recently broke out for a 41-point game in a loss against Sportslook. On top of Battle’s scoring ability, Chad Mckoy is a big presence on both sides of the ball. Mckoy leads Tune Squad with 12 blocks on the season and he’s also top 10 in the league in offensive rebounds. If Mckoy and Battle can work together on both sides of the ball, they could put Run TMC on upset alert.
The Silly Sehnders have had a tough time putting everything together this season. With a 1-9 record on the season, the Silly Sehnders have the talent to put up a good fight. Although Run TMC ran them off the court in Week 2, with sharpshooters like Brendan Carey and Brendan Bucher when they are making their shots the Silly Sehnders doesn’t look like a 1-8 team.
Although the Silly Sehnders and Tune Squad have the talent to put a good fight against Run TMC, it may not be enough. Reggie Stewart is one of the regular season MVP favorites, and when he’s on the court Run TMC is nearly unstoppable. With Stewart’s scoring ability alongside Dominque Langston and Mike Slattery’s size, Run TMC is destined to make a deep run this postseason.
