In week two of The Legacy Leagues season, Red-Emption dominated The Rookies from tip-off to the final buzzer, winning handily by a score of 87-53. Red-Emption seemed to carry the chip on their shoulder over from last week as they put on a dominant performance.
Jalen Graham did most of the heavy-lifting putting up 30 points for Red-Emption while Scott Corchard added another 14 to go along with 4 assists. They played an up-tempo game and their unselfishness as a team benefited all the players on the court.
Unfortunately for The Rookies the game was virtually over before it started. Red-Emption went up by double-digits early and had no intentions of slowing down. By half they had a commanding 14-point lead and looked to be in complete control of the game. They were out and running and The Rookies just couldn’t keep up.
Jhamal Jones of The Rookies was able to score 17 points, shooting 50% from the field while teammate Eliot Walker also added 14 points. Despite their solid contributions, the rest of the unit could not keep up with the monster that is Red-Emption.
Next week The Rookies look to bounce back and try and get their first win of the season against an improving Firm squad that looked strong tonight against the Monstars. Red-Emption will look to keep on rolling next week against White Magic who are coming off of two straight double digit losses.
