The Semifinals are finally here, and with a chance to go to the Legacy Leagues Finals on the line, both the Flint Tropics and Sportslook are going to put up a fight.

Sportslook’s record doesn’t show how strong of a team they really are. Sportslook started out the season with three-straight wins, and looked like a team destined to make a title run. After the hot start, the Flint Tropics blew them out in Week 4 kicking off a 3-game losing streak.

In the Quarterfinals, Sportslook narrowly edged out Redeem Team after a foul call in the final seconds sealed the win. Sportslook’s 12-point lead evaporated in the last minute, but Sportslook was still able to hang on. Sportslook was led by Matt Marconi’s 24 points in the Quarterfinals, and the team still came to play even without one of their star players in Jeff Norko.

“Jeff is one of our top players, (he) brings a lot of speed. It was a good game, but it shouldn’t have been as close as it was,” Matt Marconi said postgame after the Semifinal win.

In order for Sportslook to continue their playoff run, they are going to need stellar performances from their star players. Matt Marconi will need to keep up his scoring abilities, and if Jeff Norko is in the lineup, he can be a big problem for the Flint Tropics on both sides of the ball.

The Flint Tropics have dominated the entire league this season. In the Quarterfinals, the Flint Tropics met a feisty Scott’s Tots team that was looking to prove to the league that they should be recognized as a top team. In a closely fought game, the Flint Tropics were able to come out on top winning by six.

The Flint Tropics are one of the deepest teams in the league. They are led by 3-time All-Star, and Winter 2019 Most Valuable Player, Mike Bozzuto, who is surrounded by great talent. Matt Cyr is arguably the best defensive player in the league, alongside TJ Gianni and Dom Migliario who are both in the top 15 in the league for assists.

The Flint Tropics do a great job of rotating players in and out of a game, and since they are so talented up and down the roster, it usually wears down their opponents.

Sportslook will have to play there best game of the season in order to have a shot at advancing to the Finals. If the Flint Tropics get contributions from Bozzuto, Migliaro and Nick Japs they should be able to out-duel Sportslook to advance to their first ever Legacy Leagues Finals.
