LEGACY LEAGUES WEEK 3 POWER RANKINGS

Presented by: Burns Tire

1

(3-0)

This Brotherhood team is looking to be in mid-season form and we are only in week three. Jonathan Robles had a near perfect game from the field against Sometimes Y, shooting an impressive 18-for-19. They will try to continue their dominance against a new Flight Club team that probably won’t cause too many problems for the Brotherhood.

2

(3-0)

No Limit struggled in their week three win against a very good Team Moose. This team is extremely poised with experienced players, so how much of those struggles was what Team Moose does? Team Moose defended No Limit extremely well, earning their respect after the game. No Limit failed to reach 60 points as a team in week 3, and will look get back on track against a winless Fry Time team.

3

(3-0)

Reggie Stewart and Greg Langston combined for 55 points in what was a complete dunk fest versus an under matched Fry Time team. This team has the talent, but need to prove they can perform in closer games against tougher teams. The Untouchabulls aren’t necessarily that test they need to pass in week 4.

4

(3-0)

The Flint Topics are continuing to roll and and taking the league by storm. They are one of the four undefeated teams left standing. They kept the Bad Boyz silenced with just 17 points in the first half, and by the point the game was over. Week 4 poses a good test for this team against Team Moose, who is just below them in these rankings.

5

(2-1)

Redemption showed some great resiliency in an overtime win against Run TMC in week 3. The game was evenly matched throughout, but coming back from a double-digit margin in the final minutes shows what this team is made of. They will look to carry this momentum into their week 4 game against the Bad Boyz.

6

(2-1)

With the consequence being their first loss of the season, Team Moose battled hard against No Limit. It was a tightly-contested game throughout, with Team Moose ultimately falling by 13 points. Team Moose is the definition of poised, and definitely won’t beat themselves, so we’ll have to see how they respond in week 4 against the undefeated Flint Tropics.

7

(2-1)

The Throne wouldn’t be dethroned in week three. They were all over Untouchabulls, winning by a large margin without breakout star Joe Baccielo. Dashawn Moffatt and Dashon Jefferson stepped up, both scoring at least 20 points. They take on an undersized Sometimes Y team in week 4, a game in which they will be heavy favorites.

8

(1-2)

Bryan Acevedo and Sportslook let Sensual Chocolate escape with a one-point victory. Acevedo dominated with 30 points, shooting close to 50 percent from the floor. Stranger Danger will be a different test for Sportslook next week, as they look to snap a two-game losing streak.

9

(1-2)

It was the Carmine Santorelli show in a one-point win over Sportslook. Santorelli only missed five of the 20 shots he attempted, but will need to have another big game against a balanced Lob 203 team in week 4. Having more than five players in attendance will help this team turn things around, as well.

10

(2-1)

Stranger Danger has found their groove after handling Goon Squad, and were seconds away from being undefeated. They had five players in double figures in week 3, with Steven Echols leading the way with 18 points. A physical Sportslook team will be an interesting matchup with a playoff-like feel to it in week 4.

11

(1-2)

Goon Squad fell victim to finding their rhythm too late in the game. Matt Marconi, Dj Ellis and Brandon Massaro all scored at least ten points in the week 3 loss to Stranger Danger. Matt Marconi will look to continue his run of 20-point games against STP in week 4. We know this team has the talent, but translating that into wins consistently has been an issue.

12

(2-1)

All of Lob 203’s player got in the scoring column in week 3 against a Double Dribblers team that kept the game closer than many expected. Eric Singleton was a force all over the court, scoring 26 points on 12-for-19 shooting. An underachieving but talented Sensual Chocolate squad is next up, in a battle of veteran teams.

13

(1-2)

Run TMC played an excellent ball game against Redemption that called for an extra period. Unfortunately for them, they came up shy in overtime after seeing a lead evaporate in the final minutes of regulation. Will Hudson and John Rullan were a force on the offensive end, each scoring 20+ points. Hudson controlled the offensive glass, grabbing seven offensive rebounds.

14

(1-2)

The Bad Boyz put on a weak performance against the Flint Tropics in week 3, falling behind early and never being able to make up the deficit. Destin Simmons and Jaylon Eggleston both played well, but the lack of bench points was the difference against a deep Flint Tropics team. They take on a very good Redemption team next, who will test their game play and effectiveness on both ends.

15

(1-2)

STP’s deep bench won them a game where they over-powered a smaller Flight Club team. The 31-point blowout win in week 3 surprised many who thought this would be a close contest. We now know they can score in the 90s, with five players scoring at least 13 points, but can they keep it up for a second-straight week when Goon Squad is standing opposite them?

16

(0-3)

The Double Dribblers are not having any luck this season thus far. They remain winless, but seem to be starting to ignite, as all of their players scored at least one basket. Run TMC is not going to take it easy, as they will be looking for revenge after an overtime defeat. Some Double Dribbler players used to play on TMC, so both teams will be ready to go come week 4.

17

(1-2)

Brandon Guittard was no match for the depth of STP in week 3. Jacob Miller assisted Guittard with 14 points, but it was not even close to enough as they lost by 31. They are going to need an army of scorers to step up as they face The Brotherhood next week.

18

(1-2)

The Monstars will not be any easier of a match up in week 4 than the The Throne was in week 3. The Untochabulls lost by 22 points this past week, as David Woolfolk and Michael Martinez handled the bulk of the scoring load. Getting Chris Rosario back on the court will definitely help, but still may not be enough to overtake The Throne.

19

(0-3)

Sometimes Y’s road didn’t get any easier in week 3, as they took on one of the best teams in the league. The lack of size is starting to hurt this inexperienced team, as they feel to The Brotherhood by nearly 50 points. They will need a better gameplan for The Throne, who appear to have also found their rhythm.

20

(0-3)

Fry time is struggling this season so far, and are still searching for their first win. Richard Starkey tried to be the spark plug for this team, scoring 17 points against the Monstars in week 3. More players will have to step up if they want to keep their next game against No Limit closer than their contest was in week 3.
