LEGACY LEAGUES WEEK 4 POWER RANKINGS

Team Moose pulled off another blow out to prove that they’re deserving of staying in the top spot. They held the Blue Devils to only two points in the first quarter in Week 4. Their defense, chemistry, and ability to get to the rim is what separates them from the pack. They show no signs of slowing down as they get set to take on a reeling Nothing Easy team next week.

Run TMC goes into Week 5 as one of the hottest shooting teams in the league. After a convincing win against a rising Head Hunchos team without Eric Singleton, they are clearly on top of their game, and are gunning for a top-two seed in the playoffs and a first round bye. As long as Will Hudson, Reggie Stewart and company can keep up their deadly long-range shooting, they should be able to give any team a run for their money, including the Throne who they face in Week 5.

3

(4-0)

The only difference between this third undefeated team and the other two is that they had a close call against the Rim Breakers in Week 3. Shocker City made up for it with a 31-point win over J’s Treys & Fadeaways in Week 4. Mike Davis knocked down ten three’s as they dominated with they’re terrific shooting and up-tempo defensive pressure. Keeping those two things up will be a key for this team moving forward.

(3-1)

The Rim Breakers are possibly the best one-loss team in the league, and are also one of the most slept on teams. The Rim Breakers’ entire roster is well capable of playing at a high level. Their freakish athleticism allows them turn a game into a highlight reel, as seen in their 75-point blowout against Above the Rim. The Rim Breakers are playing with a chip on their shoulder, and that could spell trouble for Dinner’s Served in Week 5.

5

(3-1)

The Throne is a solid team who are clearly in the top tier of team’s this season, but where they rank in that top tier is still up for debate. With the return of Russ Peyton, along with scoring from Erick Langston and Jason Hernandez, the Throne have dynamic players all over the floor. However, The Throne takes on Run TMC in Week 5. This will be the real test to see if they have what it takes to compete with some of the better teams in the league.

6

(2-2)

Sportslook has gotten better every game they’ve played after starting 0-2. With more depth on the roster now, they have shown they are one of the better teams in the league. They’re toughness and gritty style of play makes them a problem for anyone they face. Next up they get a Blue Devils team who has not won a game yet this season despite their talent on the roster. That could be a very competitive game.

7

(2-2)

NickStrong moves up one spot after a good win against Dinners Served. NickStrong seemed to have exposed themselves after losing two straight, but got right back on track in Week 4 as all but one player scored in double figures. If they can consistently play like this, with their new found depth, they will continue to trend in the right direction. They should continue their winning ways when they take on Above the Rim in Week 5.

8

(1-3)

Nothing Easy took a tough loss in what would have been a statement win if they could have pulled it off against The Throne. Their top scorer Mike Slattery’s absence was noticeable at times, but the team still fought hard to make it a close game throughout. Nothing Easy can bounce back when they have a full roster next week in a matchup against Dinners Served in what will be one of the more even matchups in Week 5.

9

(1-3)

After a strong start to the season, J’s, Treys & Fadeaways has now dropped three-straight games. Granted, their schedule hadn’t been the easiest but a three game losing streak is not what they had in mind. This team has potential but can’t seem to get it together in the fourth quarter, when it counts most. They take on a Young Kings team who is also sliding recently, so this is a big time game up next.

10

(2-2)

After being blown out by Run TMC, they now have only two losses on the season. Brett Cody played a great game, but the rest of the team all shot under 50 percent from the field and the three-point line. The loss to TMC exposed some really weaknesses for a team who now sits at .500. They need to get more consistent offense when they take on Shocker City next.

11

(1-3)

The Young Kings started off the season strong but now are stringing together losses. They now drop to 11 in the rankings. Myles Raymond and Eddie Whitman take on most off the scoring load, which clearly hasn’t been enough to translate into wins recently. However, when this team gets going from the three-point line, they’re hard to beat.

12

(1-3)

Dinners Served finds themselves in the bottom half of the rankings after falling to NickStrong. They have a solid starting line-up, but no true scorer to take over games. Matt Terrasi continues to put up great numbers no matter the result. They take on the Rim Breakers in Week 5 as they hope to break their three-game skid.

13

(0-4)

Although they are winless, the Blue Devils can ball. They have very capable players who may be more effective if they were on different teams. Chemistry is the root of the problem for the Blue Devils that they need to fix immediately. If they can get into a rhythm and play as a team, they would be on the other end of some of these games. They can start turning their season around against a tough Sportslook team up next.

14

(0-4)

Lack of depth is a problem for Above the Rim. There are times where the team looks as if they will make the game competitive, while other times things seem to get out of hand. If they can bring consistent energy every game, they may be able to turn their luck around starting in Week 5 when they take on NickStrong.
