In a rematch of last year’s championship, Lob City showed why they’re the champs by knocking off Boom-Shakalaka. New addition Michael Palumbo has meshed nicely on this team, pouring in 30 points this past week, which included seven three-pointers. They have so many different guys who can beat you on any given night, which is why it tends to be a long night for any opponent they face off against.

(4-1)

Lucas Martin was feeling himself from behind the arc as he knocked down seven triples. An off-shooting night for MVP candidate Nate Stichell was bound to come sooner than later given the tear he has been on the last couple weeks. If they want to have any shot of avenging their Finals loss, Stichell must lead the way, but even then, it is still a daunting task.

(4-1)

Despite being short-handed the first couple weeks of the season, the Swish Kabobs have continued to roll as they made it four in a row against a tough Bucket Chasers team. They finally had a full roster on display Tuesday night, showing off a lot of their length and versatility as a team. These guys started off hot last regular season then fizzled out just before playoffs. It will be interesting to see if they can continue to play at a high level on both ends of the floor.

(3-2)

Brian Heston and Gino Forte carried the load yet again for the Werewolves, as they demolished the winless Shake N’ Bake team. Heston came out and set the tone early as he usually does. With two games this upcoming week, they’ll look to keep it rolling against a gritty Bucket Chasers teams, and a common rival, the Halfway Crooks.

5

(2-3)

After getting off to their typical slow start against the Wild Hogs, the Halfway Crooks managed to claw their way back into the game. Although Jared Hanson typically leads the way for his team, it was a total team effort. Five players scored in double digits, and after being down nearly 20 points halfway through the first quarter, their determination on the defensive end is what allowed them to sneak out the win.

6

(2-3)

The Bucket Chasers were never really able to get in an offensive rhythm against the Swish Kabobs, as they only tallied up 51 points. However, their size and physicality on the defensive end is what allowed them to stay in the game. If they are able to figure it out on the offensive end, they will be a team that could make some noise come playoff time.

7

(0-5)

The Wild Hogs saw their first win slip through their hands this week, as they blew a huge lead to fall to the Halfway Crooks. Even the return of Joey Coro wasn’t enough as he was contained for most of the second half. Their lack of execution down the stretch got the best of them yet again. As of right now, it’s looking like their only shot to win a game will be against fellow winless team Shake N’ Bake.

(0-5)

It’s been a rough start to their first season here in the Legacy Leagues. Dan Kennedy has been the lone standout for his team, but his efforts have fallen short as they have yet to come close to winning a game. However they do faceoff against the winless Wild Hogs twice before the season ends, so look for them to give their all in those matchups.
