The Summer 2019 All-Star game will be a little different this year.Rather than having two of the leagues biggest on court superstars draft the teams, two of the biggest off the court stars will draft. Connor Sauer and Greg Horne are the two hosts of the Weekly Rebound podcast and will try their hand at coaching this Summer.
These two guys have been around the league since the beginning and know what the best type of Legacy League basketball is.
Team Horne features Ryan Florentine, Mike Bozzuto, Nick Japs, Jason Binder, Dom Langston, Reggie Stewart, Brendan Bucher, and Carmine Santorelli.
Team Sauer features Melquan Horton, Mike Vessichio, Jaden Battle, Chad Mckoy, Noah Raffone, Tarell Vargas, Dan Kokkoros, Eric Singleton.
This is going to be a high-scoring show put on by these teams as there are playmakers all across the board. An interesting battle in this one will be Reggie Stewart versus Melquan Horton. The two MVP candidates will go head-to-head along with Mike Bozzuto and Dan Kokkoros battling down low.
Run TMC, the Flint Tropics, NickStrong, Shocker City, and the Redeem Team all have two members representing in this season’s All-Star game which is no surprise to anyone as these were some of the best teams in the league.
Rookie high-flyer Jaden Battle will be interesting to watch as he led the league in scoring this season as a rookie and had what seemed to be a weekly feature in the Top 5 Plays of the week.
For guys like Santorelli, Stewart, Singleton, and Bozzuto this will be just another game for them as they are guys who play in this game regularly and know how to handle this fast-paced style games.
On the other end, this will be a different type of game for guys like Brendan Bucher, Noah Raffone, and Jason Binder as this is there first Legacy Leagues All-Star Game.
This will be a fun night to say the least as we get to watch the leagues best battle it out for bragging rights between two legacy league legends, Greg Horne and Connor Sauer.
