Run TMC was missing MVP candidate Reggie Stewart this week, but that did not slow them down.  This was definitely not their best game of the season, but Dom Langston, Will Hudson and Joey Zocco all stepped up and led this team to a win. With Dom Langston starting to heat up, this can only make Run TMC an even hard team to beat as we get ready to enter the playoffs.

The Flint Tropics bounced back after suffering their first loss of the season last week and defeated the Silly Sehnders, 103-67.  The Flint Tropics were cruising from the start and were led by a balance scoring attack with six players in double figures. As said many times before, this is a dangerous team looking for blood in their quest to get that Summer 19 title.

Shocker City remains hot as they hold off a scrappy Redeem Team in the Game of the Week. Tarell Vargas joined the 1000-point club as he dropped 25 points to lead his team. Shocker City has found their groove and that only means bad things for the rest of the league. If they can keep this up, they are on track to being a scary two or three-seed in the playoffs.

This was a tough week for Redeem Team as they lost a crucial matchup to Shocker City, 87-84.  All five guys on the team scored in double figures, however, they only had five guys. Especially in the playoffs, they are going to need more depth to give guys like Melquan Horton and Eric Singleton a rest. Now with three losses, they are in danger of falling out of the top four seeds with two games left.

NickStrong stays hot as they fended off a struggling Sportslook team this week 69-62. Every time Sportslook made a run, NickStrong was able to hold them off and remain poised. This is a hot, physical, experienced team that is starting to turn heads and make a push for a top 4 seed heading into the postseason. The Vessicchio brothers have been one of the better dynamic duos in this league, and they are going to need them to continue playing at a high level to make a Finals run.

Sportslook’s losing streak continues as they lost a hard fought, physical game against NickStrong. They were not fully loaded, but that is not an excuse. They looked out of sorts on offensive and had a tough time getting back on defense. This is a very talented team, but they are starting to run out of time to get their groove back before the end of the regular season.

Tune Squad took care of business this week against the winless Brick Layers. Led by Chad Mckoy and Jaden Battle, they started low but never looked back following the first quarter.  This is a fast and explosive team that puts up points fast, and causes havoc on defensive with their 17 steals. They will need to bring that defensive intensity every week if they want to pull off a First Round upset in the playoffs

Scott’s Tots played the undefeated Run TMC team tough, but ultimately did not have enough fire power to knock off the top-ranked team. This is a scrappy team that finally started to knock down shots which kept them close in their Week 7 matchup. Despite the final score, this was as close as a two-point game in the second half.  They had four guys in double figures, but are going to need somebody to take this team over and be their leader.

This was a tough week as many might have expected when facing the Flint Tropics. It has been a tough season thus far, but this is a new inexperienced team still trying to find their way. Good news for this team is that every team makes the postseason, so maybe they can make some Legacy League history and knock off a top seed when the playoffs start in a few weeks.

Still searching for their first win, the Brick Layers lost to Tune Squad this week. With only four guys showing up, it makes it nearly impossible to win in this league. Jason Binder has been a bright spot for this team as he has taken control of many games. Once again this past week they showed how hard they play each and every game.
