Court one was host to the most exciting game of the night, an overtime thriller where No Limit was able to outlast a strong Run TMC effort, 74-65. The game went back and forth for all four quarters, and in the last minute it looked like Run TMC was in position to hold on for the upset. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned.

Matt Zocco had an inbound pass stolen by Howie Miller with under a minute left in regulation which led to a quick dunk for No Limit to tie the game up. Miller had 16 points going 6-13 on the night, while Zocco was held to only five points.

In the overtime period, No Limit was able to pull away, with John Rullan and Miller hitting a few shots from deep and Tarrell Vargas getting to the hoop at will. After the game, Rullan had some comments for league commissioner and TMC sharpshooter Joey Zocco.

“Joey got tired…Joey really can’t guard anybody on the court so its a mismatch every time he’s on the court…they don’t want us to win though but we win,” Rullan said. He would finish with 20 points on the night along with five boards.

Standouts for TMC include Kevin Blake and Joe Spain who had 16 and 22 points, respectively. They both played tough in the paint and did a good job facilitating in the low and high posts. Additionally, Will Hudson had a strong game scoring an additional 16 points and grabbing seven rebounds.

No Limit moves to 5-0 and will likely remain on top in the league power rankings. Even with a sidelined Kevin Rivera, they were able to pull out the win. Vargas led all scorers with 25 points and six boards, scoring on powerful dunks and silky three point shooting.
