Presented by:

(5-0)

No Limit continues to dominate, winning five consecutive games to start the season. They had another lopsided victory this week, a 49-point win over Stranger Danger. They used a very balanced scoring attack with five players scoring 17 points or more. Through five weeks, they have outscored their opponents 531-330. They will look to improve to 6-0 in Week 6 in what should be a much more competitive game against the defending champion Monstars.

2

(4-1)

The Monstars did get their fourth win this week, but Shooters Shoot did not make it easy for them as they won by just eight points. This was their fourth consecutive victory after losing in Week 1 to the Temptations. Reggie Stewart had another strong game with 18 points on 70 percent shooting to go along with 10 rebounds. The Monstars will have to play much better in Week 6 if they want to make it five consecutive wins in their matchup with No Limit (5-0) in what should be a fast-paced, high-scoring affair.

3

(4-1)

The Chasers moved to 4-1 this week with a 52-point victory over Semi Pro. Jhamal Jones, Jerry Washington and David Armstrong all scored 20 or more points in a dominant victory. This team likes to play fast and force turnovers, creating 18 of them this past week. The Chasers will have a tougher matchup in Week 6 against the Rim Breakers (3-2).

4

(4-1)

The game of the week in Week 5 did not disappoint, as the Blue Devils faced Team Moose Tuesday night. Team Moose was in control of this game through the first three quarters, but the Blue Devils completely dominated the fourth quarter as they outscored Team Moose 38-16 and wound up winning by 13. Mike Davis was excellent, scoring 31 points to go along with six assists, five steals and six 3-pointers. If the Blue Devils play like they did in the fourth quarter, it will be hard for anybody to beat them. They will take on the Temptations in Week 6 in what should be a fun game to watch.

5

(4-1)

The Flint Tropics won their fourth consecutive game by defeating Goon Squad 74-61. They play a very unselfish style of basketball and look like they have been playing together for years. Mike Bozzuto scored 25 points and has proven to be one of the best scorers and 3-point shooters in the league. The Flint Tropics will be looking for their fifth consecutive of the season against Stranger Danger next week.

6

(3-2)

After a tough loss in Week 4 to Team Moose, the Temptations bounced back in Week 5 with a 16-point victory over the Rim Breakers. Carmine Santorelli returned from injury and made a huge impact on the game. Santorelli’s offense was sorely missed last week as the Temptations scored just 39 points on 26 percent shooting. This week was a much different story, doubling their scoring output. Santorelli scored 27 points and had six assists while Melquan Horton continued his dominant play with 24 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. The duo of Santorelli and Horton is one of the best 1-2 punches in the league. The Temptations will take on the Blue Devils in Week 6 in what should be a very competitive and entertaining game.

7

(3-2)

Team Moose took on one of the best teams in the league this week in the Blue Devils. Team Moose controlled this game through three quarters and led by nine after the third quarter. After allowing just 39 points through three quarters, the Blue Devils outscored Team Moose 38-16 in the fourth quarter to claim a 13-point win. Kevin Blake and Brad Seaman are the clear leaders of this team. Blake scored 22 points, while Seaman had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Seaman also does a very good job controlling the game on the defensive end for Team Moose. They will attempt to bounce back in Week 6 with a matchup against The Throne.

8

(3-2)

After winning their first three games of the season, the Rim Breakers have now dropped two in a row, although they have played two very good teams over the last two weeks. They ended up losing by 16 this week to the Temptations, but they played much better in the second half after trailing by 18 points at halftime. The Rim Breakers continue to use a balanced scoring attack, without a player scoring more than 20 points in any of their five games. They will look to get back into the win column next week against The Chasers.

9

(2-3)

The Throne got back into the win column this week after losing three straight by defeating Blood, Sweat & Beers by 16. Jason Hernandez had another solid game with 15 points, six rebounds and three steals. Hernandez is the clear offensive leader of this team and will need to continue to score at a high rate if this team wants to make some noise this year. The Throne will try to make it two wins in a row, matching up with Team Moose next week.

10

(2-3)

Stranger Danger was blown out in Week 5 by No Limit, giving up 124 points and losing by 49. Stranger Danger hung in there for a little while, but No Limit’s athleticism and depth was just too much to handle. The Zocco brothers played well in this one: Matt had 27 points while Joey scored 21. Tyler Feldman had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Stranger Danger has another tough matchup in Week 6 against the Flint Tropics.

11

(1-4)

Goon Squad dropped its fourth consecutive game this week, losing to the Flint Tropics by 13. They have had a very tough schedule thus far, and it will get much lighter over the next three weeks. Matt Marconi continued his solid play with 28 points and seven rebounds. Marconi is top five in both points and rebounding through five weeks of the season. Goon Squad will have a much easier matchup next week against Semi Pro.

12

(0-5)

Although they ended up losing, Shooters Shoot played their best game of the season this week. They lost by just eight points to one of the best teams in the league, the Monstars. Shooters Shoot did not turn the ball over too much and held the Monstars to under 50 percent shooting. Brandon Guittard, Luke Riccio, Kris DiCocco and Alex DeMeis all scored in double-figures. Shooters Shoot will look to get their first win of the season in a winnable game against Blood, Sweat & Beers.

13

(0-5)

Blood, Sweat & Beers lost by 16 to The Throne this week, but the final score doesn’t truly reflect how BS&B played. They trailed by just six points after the third quarter, but The Throne outscored them 18-8 in the fourth to get the victory. Edgar Trujillo had 19 points and seven rebounds, and Cody Dileonardo continued his solid play with 17 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks. BS&B turned the ball over 17 times, which is something they will need to improve if they want to get into the win column next week versus Shooters Shoot.

14

(0-5)

Semi Pro lost in blowout fashion for the fifth consecutive week, now being outscored by their opponents 509-224 this season. They simply do not have the offensive talent or depth to compete with the better teams of this league. Turnovers continue to be a common issue for Semi Pro and is something they will need to fix if they want to earn a victory. Jacob Caselli played well this week with 23 points and four 3-pointers. Semi Pro will take on Goon Squad next week.
